Mazatlan, Sinaloa.- With the start of the Mazatlan International Carnival on Thursday, the first remodeling section of Rafael Buelna Avenue will be open, which already complies with the provisions of the works, said Mayor Luis Guillermo Benítez Torres when supervising it together with the builders.
He clarified that as the works on the artery will continue until they conclude with all the work, they will formally inaugurate it, but in the end, the established date was fulfilled so that there is access to the floats during the traditional parade of the maximum party of the port.
“It is very likely that it will be next Thursday, night because the idea is that together Governor and municipal president of Mazatlan, we will not inaugurate the work because it is the first stage, but let’s witness that it is open to the circulation for the Mazatlecos” .
He said that everything is ready for this Thursday night at Olas Altas to start the Mazatlan International Carnival, in its 122nd edition, so they have a safety device with the presence of security forces to maintain control and at the end of the maximum party there are no reports of injuries.
“For us it is very important that we travel these days, with a safe target, Mazatlan is in the eyes of the world, this is how the forces and Security recognize it in that we have to make an effort so that everything goes well.”
Benítez Torres asked both locals and visitors to Mazatlan during these days, enjoy the party but always within the order since all events are free and it is to live Carnival to the fullest.
“I know that Mazatlecos are people of work, of struggle, that they have healthy fun, look at the Carnival is the party of the people, everything is free, it does not cost to go dancing to Olas Altas, it does not cost to go to the shows, to work , there are not going to be chairs of people that separate to see the parade, here until 12:00 hours of the day they are allowed to accommodate their chairs ”.
The maximum party of the port of Mazatlan starts this Thursday with the coronation of the king of Carnival Paco Vazga, and with it until Tuesday the fun and music will sound in Olas Altas, while in the stadium ‘Teodoro Mariscal’ they will be distinguished the new majesties of this edition, Friday, Saturday and Monday.
