Mazatlan Sinaloa.- A child under 12 years old was reportedly deprived of liberty by three unknown subjects when he was heading to school in Mazatlan.

The incident was reported around 08:00 hours to the police authorities by Agustín Melgara Street, and Insurgentes Avenue, in the Benito Juárez neighborhood.

Unofficially, it was said that three men aboard an old-fashioned green Windstar pickup truck intercepted the child when he was heading to the educational campus and took him and fleed to an unknown destination.

Subsequently, the Secretary of Public Security in Sinaloa, Cristóbal Castañeda Camarillo, confirmed these facts.

This is 12-year-old Kevin “N”, who was forcibly taken out of his school on Tuesday morning.

The secretary said that it seems that it is “facing another situation”, not a “kidnapping” as such, but it will be the State Attorney General’s office that is responsible for the investigations.

“We have the report through C4 and the Prosecutor’s Office is already taking over, they will be responsible for conducting the investigation. We require secrecy for the same situation and delicacy that this is a minor, but we will join forces with the Prosecutor’s Office to address this issue, ”he said.

Castañeda Camarillo said he could not talk more about the subject so as not to hinder the investigations.

Unofficially it was said that the kidnapping derives from a family conflict.
