It seeks to make good practices in visits to protected areas and create awareness in visitors

Mazatlan, Sinaloa (Informational Reaction) .- Tourism service providers in the maritime zone will hold a meeting this Monday with the National Commission of Natural Protected Areas (Conanp) in search of maintaining sustainable tourism.

Rigoberto Cruz, an owner of one of these tourist agencies, explained that this is the second meeting held with Conanp and that it explains some key points that allow good practices.

Among these actions, he said, is to invite tourists not to leave garbage and not to extract items such as shells from protected areas, which in this case refer to the Three Islands, specifically to the Deer Island, which is the busiest for tourism purposes

Rigoberto acknowledged that the Mexican has proven to lack a culture of respect for the environment. However, he stressed that he has recently perceived that there is a little more awareness on the part of those who visit these areas.
