The Aquarium Parking work includes 33 spaces for street vendors or semi-fixed; eight are already ‘apart’ for those who commonly settle there

Mazatlan, Sinaloa.- The Aquarium parking work includes not only the 350 stalls, but also public toilets and a commercial area that will allow street vendors and semi-fixtures to be installed in it.

Pablo Gerardo Rojas Zepeda, director of Mazatlan Aquarium, said that in this area there will be 33 spaces designated for merchants. Eight of these places will be occupied by those that have traditionally been installed in the area and the rest will be used by street vendors and semi-fixtures that currently work in El Malecón and that will be relocated according to the criteria of the mayor.

“It is not a tianguis, but it is a space only for sellers. Here you can relocate, here is a good point of sale because a lot of visitors spend and it will be very accessible, ”he said.

The municipal official said that at the moment it has not been defined whether sellers will have to pay an additional floor right. However, he emphasized that they will continue to operate with their permission, as they will only be reassigned to this new position. That is, new merchants will not be allowed to emerge.

Rojas Zepeda stressed that this is part of a city management strategy, which is due to the Free Banquet program and to have an order of commerce.
