Mazatlecos are chilling with the cold weather of 9.6 degrees Celsius (48 Farenheit) registered on the morning of Thursday February, 6th.
Civil Protection made a call to the population, asking to prevent deaths from carbon monoxide poisoning. Authorities ask citizens not to turn on fires of any kind inside their homes.
“The low temperatures registered in Mazatlan (9.6 degrees Celsius), are caused by the presence of cold front 38, and the Eighth Winter Storm of the season”, said the Municipal Coordinator of Civil Protection, Eloy Ruiz Gastélum.
He added that low temperatures are expected to continue for at least two days.
