Mazatlan.- During the weekly meeting for the security of the Mazatlan Carnival 2020 “We are America”, the members of the committee for the protection, protection and assistance of the maximum party of the Mazatlecos, agreed on measures aimed at ensuring the tranquility of those attending the different events that will be held from February 20 to 25.

Convened by the head of the Institute of Culture, José Ángel Tostado Quevedo, the representatives of the police, rescue and relief corporations analyzed the plan of organization, the location of the 11 shrines for the area of ​​High Waves and the security around to the Park of the Sister Cities, where two great concerts will be held.

In the case of Avenida del Mar, home of the two allegorical car parades, on Sunday 23 and Tuesday, February 25, it was made clear that the rental of chairs and the installation of portable toilets by individuals, since the Municipal Government of Mayor QFB Luis Guillermo Benitez Torres, will place 140 free bathrooms on the coastal promenade.

At the end of the meeting, the Deputy Director of Municipal Transit, Francisco Guerra González, stressed that it seeks to improve what has previously been done around the Mazatlan Carnival.

“We are trying to improve what this administration of our mayor, Chemist Luis Guillermo Benitez Torres has done. We go excellently. We are reaching very specific agreements, we hope to overcome what has already been done and ensure the safety of people who come to events, both local and visitors, in all matters: road, public safety and also by Civil Protection, to be ready for any emergency that may arise. We will work in three shifts all of 12 hours; from nine in the morning to nine at night, from nine at night to nine in the morning, and a special shift for the Carnival area that is from five in the afternoon to five in the morning. These are days that we restrict permits and vacations, ”he said.

During the meeting, measures were also taken to protect allegorical cars and the exit of vehicles parked in the shopping plaza of Reforma Avenue, in order to expedite the end of the parades.
