Culiacán, Sinaloa.- The Ministry of State Public Security (SSP) is waiting for 250 million pesos to be assigned for patrol purchases and to start building two barracks for the corporation in the municipalities of Mazatlan and Ahome, Lieutenant Colonel Cristóbal Castañeda Camarillo revealed.

He explained that of the total investment 50 million pesos are for the purchase of cars that will allow replacing the motor units that already represent a higher cost for the repairs that are made to them permanently when they fulfill their useful life

“We are starting the year with budget allocations, we need to go to the federal resources agreement to see how much they will give us, 50 million pesos resources are promised for the trucks and 200 million dollars are also promised for the construction of the barracks in Culiacán and Mazatlan for the state police headquarters, he said. 

Regarding the 40 video surveillance systems that were damaged by bullets on the night of December 31 and first of January to receive the New Year, the Secretary of State Public Security, Cristóbal Castañeda, said there is a maintenance policy that pays Every year for repair.

According to the effects on cameras and fiber optics, it is estimated that in a month they will be in operation again, the 22 points destroyed in Mazatlan and 18 in Culiacán, he said.
