Truk Week will bring more tourism to Mazatlan

Organizers plan to position it as one of Mazatlan’s main attractions

Mazatlan Sinaloa.- Upon celebrating its fourth anniversary as an association, the local club MZT Trucks is preparing to hold its first national event based in Mazatlan, in which more than 500 4×4 modified vans from 79 clubs in the country are expected to participate; informed Joel Alberto Venegas Morales, president of the club.

This is the first Troca Week, an event scheduled for March 6, 7 and 8 of this year.

He indicated that the event is intended to be another attraction of the port, similar to that of Motorcycle Week, but with modified vans.

He said that they analyze several proposals as the headquarters of the first Troca Week, among them is Sams Club, Camino Real, Bahías or Bahía Nueva, although Olas Altas and the Malecon were also thought of.

The Mzt Trucks club is made up of 74 people, since its creation it has held several local events, but it had never been called to a national event.

We have always done small events, but this we want to make it massive so that it is another attraction for Mazatlan, it would be the first nationwide, we have four years together, in December we celebrate the fourth anniversary

Venegas Morales said that Troca Week will be a very colorful event, which will appeal to locals and visitors to the port.

Clubs of eight entities have already confirmed their attendance, some from Mexico City, Aguascalientes, Lagos de Moreno, Durango and Los Mochis; an average of 400 vans are registered and more than 500 are expected.

More than 500 4×4 modified vans will participate in the First Week of Troca 2020, based in Mazatlan.
