Engineer murdered in Canada arrives in Mexico

The plane that transferred the body of the engineer Arturo Morales de Paz , killed in Canada, arrived Monday at the International Airport of Mexico City (AICM) after eight o’clock at night, later, by land, a hearse will take him to Miahuatlán de Porfirio Díaz, in the Sierra Sur of Oaxaca.

Aída Ruiz García, director of the Oaxaca Institute for Migrant Assistance (IOAM), said that Arturo’s remains are likely to reach their home community during the night of December 31.

The relatives of the 33-year-old victim asked the administration of the governor, Alejandro Murat, to represent them before the consular authorities of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (SRE) to recover the remains of the Oaxacan, who until the day of his death worked in a company executive aircraft assembler in Montreal, Canada

On December 18, the body of the aeronautical engineer was found with at least four stabs in the parking lot of a supermarket inside his car.

The crime that ended Arturo’s life occurred a few hours after the engineer took the flight that would take him to Oaxaca and from there he planned to travel to his native Miahuatlan.

For now, the Morales de Paz family published a notice in which he announced that the funeral will take place on January 1, 2020, at his home located on Calle 3 de Octubre in Miahuatlán, while the present body mass will be a day later in the temple of San Andrés Apóstol, to later carry out the funeral in the municipal pantheon.

Meanwhile, the director of the IOAM confirmed that the relatives of Paulino Ramírez Lugos, from Oaxaca, who died in New Jersey on December 24, requested the intervention of that instance to facilitate the repatriation of the national.
