Mazatlan.- An extension of up to three hours in the sale of alcohol for establishments of this turn in the first three months of 2020, unanimously endorsed the Town Hall Council during Ordinary Session number 27, which took place the afternoon of this Thursday.

The Tourism and Commerce Commission presented this opinion based on Article 31 Second Paragraph of the Law on Operation and Operation of establishments for the production, distribution, sale, and consumption of alcoholic beverages from the state of Sinaloa in force.

The councilor María Isabel Gamboa González, the coordinator of said commission, said that the request for expansion was made by business bodies such as Canaco, Canirac and beer companies, among others.

Unanimously, the Cabildo approved that in the tourist area the hours of sale and consumption of alcohol be extended from 23:00 to 02:00 hours in restaurants; in nightclubs, from 02:00 to 04:00 hours, and in bars, from 23:00 to 02:00 hours, daily.

While in supermarkets located in the same area, it will be from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. from Monday to Saturday, and Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The mayor informed that this extension will be valid during the months of January, February and March 2020, and will be granted month by month, that is, one month at the most so that the Chief of Staff has better administrative control.

He added that businesses located in a non-tourist area will be subject to the benefits of the law and that this authorization will be made for the benefit of those who request it and for those businesses that have not presented problems of any kind in their operation.
