On the occasion of the celebrations for the day of the Virgin of Guadalupe, in the center of the city, there will be street closures starting Wednesday afternoon

The announcement was made by the traffic commander Francisco Guerra González who asked drivers to take alternate routes to the streets surrounding the Cathedral, since to ensure the safety of parishioners is that the passage of vehicles will be closed.

He also commented that urban transport organizations were asked to take their forecasts and modify the routes that reach the Pino Suárez market, on Thursday.

“The closures that are going to be done is in Benito Juárez and Ángel Flores; on March 21 and Achilles Serdan; and in Guillermo Nelson and Canizales for the celebrations of the day of the Virgin of Guadalupe. We are going to support around 10 elements there and we are going to talk to urban truck routes so they can help us and change the routes for this day. From four to five in the afternoon we will be closing and until the event is over it will be closed, ”he said.

The Municipal Transit Commander called on citizens to take their precautions and circulate on alternate routes such as Aquiles Serdán and Lieutenant Azueta.

“The Benito Juarez from Canizales to the north will be open and on the south side, it will be from Miguel Alemán to Ángel Flores,” he said.

Guerra González added that thousands of people are expected to arrive throughout the day at the Basilica Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in the first square of the city, so the road and surveillance operation was put together to guarantee the development of the party with peace of mind
