First service fair for the foreign community in Mazatlan announced

“Mazatlan Cares” seeks to strengthen the dialogue between officials and residents of other countries

Mazatlan Sinaloa – With the purpose of activating, strengthening and sustaining a shared vision of the relations between the foreign community and the Municipality, the first service fair called “Mazatlan Cares” will be held on Wednesday, December 11, a replica of the “De Cara” program to the People “ , but focused on foreign residents or visitors, where the attendance of 600 to a thousand people is expected.

“Mazatlan Cares” will be held in Zaragoza square, where the organic market is held, which is a strategic and reference point for foreigners residing in the port, the event will be from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

María Astrid Fregoso Macías, director of the Tourist Assistance and Protection Center (CAPTA), informed that this service fair will involve instances of the three levels of government such as the Ministry of Public Security, Revenue Department, Citizen Services, Municipal Sports Institute, Social Communication, Institute of Culture, DIF System, Sedectur, Beach Operator, Profeco, National Institute of Migration, Customs, Roads, and Transportation, State Attorney General’s Office, Federal Police, staff of the consulates of the United States, Canada and France, and Red Cross.

This first meeting of the three orders of government with the foreign community, ‘Mazatlan Cares’, will be an opportunity to initiate a dialogue between officials and representatives of the foreign communities, American, Canadian, French and the Japanese community, who lives here in Mazatlan

She said that the latest reports that are available, it is said that Mazatlan receives around 30 thousand visitors who stay during the winter season, while another 5 thousand and 7 thousand foreigners reside in the port throughout the year.
