He stressed that seven out of every 10 thefts of insured vehicles occur in the State of Mexico, Jalisco, Mexico City, Guanajuato, Puebla and Veracruz, AMIS reported.
He stressed that of the total of insured cars stolen, 40 percent was recovered, that is, two out of five stolen units are found; however, it would take six years to recover the same amount of vehicles that are stolen for two years.
He added that more than 80 percent of the thefts occur with violence and occur in nine states of the country led by the State of Mexico, Jalisco, Mexico City, Guanajuato, Puebla, Sinaloa, Michoacán, Veracruz and Tabasco, states where the rate of violence exceeds 50 percent.
