There will be more than 120 samples of dishes for tasting attendees

Culiacán, Sinaloa.- The port of Altata will be filled with color and flavor on December 7 and 8 on the occasion of the second great Farming Shrimp Fair 2019.

Óscar Pérez Barros, secretary of Tourism in Sinaloa reported that this event highlights the importance of the consumption of shrimp farming in the state, in which a large part of the port’s restaurants will participate, as well as the community of aquaculture producers.

This event will begin on Saturday, December 7 at 9:00 a.m., with the Regional Aquaculture Forum in which farmers from Sinaloa, Sonora, and Nayarit participate; later at 3:00 p.m., the Shrimp Festival will begin, where more than 120 dishes will be exposed to visitors.

Raúl Leyva Retes, president of the Association of Farmers North of Navolato, said that for the tasting, farmers from the north and south of the municipality will give away a ton of shrimp, equivalent to 130 thousand pesos in product.

The event will have an organizational expense of one million pesos in which 20 sponsors participate and an economic spill of 15 million pesos is estimated at two days of celebration.

Municipal Police, Traffic and Civil Protection will be responsible for protecting the safety of the attendees.
