Mexican architect Carlos Gosselin is selling a Miami Beach mansion he designed. The asking price is $30 million.

Casa La Bonita is a two-story, 14,268-square-foot estate with six bedrooms and seven bathrooms on exclusive Star Island, an enclave of luxury homes belonging to big-name politicians, actors and others.

The estate sits on nearly an acre at 14 W. Star Island Drive. It has 100 feet of water frontage facing west across Biscayne Bay with vistas expanding south to PortMiami.

The estate’s name, Casa La Bonita, is an homage to Gosselin’s wife Elisa, nicknamed Bonita.

Attorneys that practice community association law regularly prosecute and defend against claims that sound in the law of contracts, real property, civil rights, and more….

Mexican architect Carlos Gosselin named the home in honor of his wife’s nickname.

There also are grandiose doors — century-old Chinese doors and custom-made Hindu doors.

Other features include a movie theater, elevator, pool, poolside gazebo, hurricane impact windows and Sherle Wagner faucets and fixtures in the bathrooms.

The Gosselins bought the land in 1992 for $1.45 million, according to the Miami-Dade County Property Appraiser’s office. He designed and built the home and his family arrived in 1995.

Gosselin also owns the high-end resort Zoëtry Paraíso de la Bonita Riviera Maya south of Cancun, Mexico, and is a former president of the Hotel Association for Cancun and Puerto Morelos.

The Jills Zeder Group, which is affiliated with Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate, is listing Casa La Bonita.

The estate “represents the epitome of luxury,” Jill Hertzberg of The Jills Zeder Group said in a news release. “With sprawling space, exquisite appointments, spectacular views and more, this is a property that is not to be missed.”

Current and former celebrity residents of the island include Gloria and Emilio Estefan, Shaquille O’Neal and Rosie O’Donnell.
