According to Maz Messenger, cold weather, heavy rains and winds until Friday, the National Meteorological Service forecasts for parts of Sinaloa, as well as for the Baja California Peninsula and in northwestern and northern parts of the country.

According to the National Meteorological Service, bad weather is generated by the passage of two cold fronts in an interaction with an upper trough, the entry of moisture caused by an atmospheric river and the development of the second winter storm

The SMN statement indicates that from 2:00 p.m. today until 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, it is expected that the cold front would travel rapidly northwest and north of the state, and will interact with a low pressure center located in the Southwest of Baja California Sur.

“These conditions will give rise to the second winter storm of the season, causing cold weather and wind potential with gusts greater than 80 kilometers per hour in the Peninsula of Baja California, Sonora, Chihuahua and Durango, waves of 2 to 3 meters in the western coasts of the Peninsula of Baja California and Sinaloa, as well as possible snow or sleet in the mountains of Baja California, Sonora, Chihuahua and Durango, ”continued the SMN.

They also announced that the cold front 18 and its associated air mass, will travel through the north and northeast of the country, and in interaction with humidity generated by the atmospheric river and the jet stream, will cause the temperature decrease, winds with gusts of more than 50 kilometers per hour and potential for rain and showers accompanied by thunder and lightning in Coahuila, Nuevo León and Tamaulipas.
