DIF brings winter support to rural communities of Mazatlan

Mazatlan Sinaloa.- Temperatures begin to fall and one of the objectives of the current municipal government is to protect the most vulnerable, therefore, DIF Mazatlan has started with the delivery of winter supports in eight villages, benefiting the inhabitants of Telcoyonqui, Cofradia, Tecomate, Escamillas, Lomas de Monterrey, San Francisquito, La Tuna and El Vainillo.

The caravan left on Sunday at 7 in the morning, with vans loaded with supports such as blankets, mats, pantries, fabrics, tennis vans, sandals, as well as medical service and medicine to care for those who need it.

The deliveries were headed by the general director of DIF Mazatlán, Roberto Rodríguez Lizárraga; also attended by Enrique Alarcón Tostado, director of Evaluation and Liaison Municipal Rural Zone, as well as each curator of the towns visited.

With great personal enthusiasm from DIF Mazatlan was received by children, seniors, women, and men in each community, who received support.

Some signed up for the various programs available to the institution such as: scholarships, pantries and financial support for people with disabilities and older adults.
