They recognize the Volunteer Fire Department of Mazatlan

MAZATLAN SINALOA.- The Municipal Council of Civil Protection of Mazatlan recognizes the Volunteer Fire Department of this city, for having obtained the Best of the Best award, “Bronze Wolf” grade, the highest distinction awarded by the Mexican Association of Fire Chiefs and the CEMSCO Company, reported Eloy Ruiz Gastélum.

The Municipal Civil Protection coordinator added that this demonstrates the high level of training and efficiency in the use of resources available to the group of firefighters of this tourist destination, which daily faces different emergencies.

He commented that in the week that concludes, in the city of Zapopan, Jalisco, the 64th National Convention of Fire Chiefs was held, where 25 groups registered to receive the award, and the Mazatlan corporation obtained such distinction.

“Without a doubt, we are pleased to know that we have an efficient, well-prepared fire department that does its best to help people who require it. With these actions, the Municipal Civil Protection System is strengthened, and that is one of the indications of the mayor, chemist Luis Guillermo Benítez Torres, of having institutions at the level that requires a tourist city such as Mazatlan, ”he said.

Ruiz Gastélum highlighted the value and the work that each of the members of the Volunteer Fire Department of Mazatlan performs daily, and that on this occasion they were recognized nationally.

He added that in said convention, the volunteer fire department that verified that it has taken its corporation to the best possible level with the resources it already has, in order to obtain more resources, it would be distinguished and rewarded with heavy rescue equipment for collapsed structures, as well as A complete kit of pneumatic mattresses.
