Mazatlan, Sin.- “Sinaloa went from belonging to the Northwest Economic Corridor to be part of the North bloc, which will mostly benefit Mazatlan”, acknowledged the Secretary of State Economy, Javier Lizárraga Mercado.

He said, the affiliation of the state to the aforementioned group was announced at the last meeting of the National Chamber of Industry and Transformation (CANACINTRA), which took place in the port of Mazatlan.

Among the actions, he said, there will be a regional block that will give a boost to Mazatlan, which is an important point of entry and exit of merchandise for this corridor.

He acknowledged, on a map previously presented by the Undersecretary of Economy of Nuevo León, Mazatlan was not listed with the ports of Manzanillo and Lázaro Cárdenas, but now it is considered a strategic point.

“The Pearl of the Pacific” is included in the group now,” Lizárraga Mercado concluded.
