DIF system invites them to register so they can receive support

Mazatlan, Sinaloa.- The president of the Mazatlan DIF System, Gabriela Peña Chico, informed that part of the inclusion program they carry out in Mazatlan, is to go out to the colonies to register all people who have a disability, so far there is a register of more than 5,000 people.

“When arrived to lead the government in Mazatlan, we found a register of 5,000 people with disabilities, but there are many people with disabilities who are not seen with the naked eye and have not been registered; we make tours in Mazatlan, to the colonies and seek to integrate them into the system … we have really been going out on the streets for 4 months and the register has grown with 900 additional people with disabilities, “he said.

He said that those people who have not yet been registered are due to the misinformation they have or many of those people are families that come in popular colonies without Internet service, so, Peña Chico invited all those who are not yet part, to come to the DIF System for support.

“But there are many more, I know that there are many and I invite people who have not registered in our censuses, go and join, we have many opportunities and benefits for them, both economic, as wheelchair supports, but also of fun; many times it is misinformation, but they are also people who are in neighboring colonies or maybe they do not have what the Internet service is but we are really reaching them “,

Finally, he detailed the documents that must be taken to be recorded in the register, so responsible parents can go to the offices of DIF Mazatlán in the Federal Palace, and be included in the list.

“It is proof of address, your medical certificate that proves that you have a disability, a photograph to make your credential and that is all,” he said.
