The Mexico City International Airport (AICM) reported that at 8:44 a.m. they could already take off.
From a very early the AICM was affected by a fog bank, this was reported by the Command, Control, Computing, Communications and Citizen Contact of Mexico City (C5), so its operations were suspended.
Through its official Twitter account, the AICM said the suspension began at 7:12 local time and asked people who have scheduled a flight to stay in communication “with their airline to know the status of their flight” .

The airport mentioned, in its Twitter account, that takeoffs can already be made, but has not confirmed whether landings can be made.
The problem began to gain strength in social networks, as users who hope to board a plane or even people who were already about to take off demonstrated on Twitter.
Some of the passengers shared photographs of what the fog looks like right now. They also reported that flights are delayed for more than an hour.
In the publication of a passenger, who is on board an airplane, he wrote: “7:50 am, so the view from the runway. We can’t take off yet (7 am flight). ”

Other users mentioned that they were coming to Mexico City, but the airline diverted them and took them to another state and now they are unable to take off, due to the bad weather.
In another publication he was denounced: “and it got worse. I’ve been since 6, as long as they don’t cancel, what’s the point? ”
Many of the passengers also expressed concern about interconnection flights, since if they do not arrive at their destination at the indicated time, they may miss the next flight.
The AICM requested its passengers to contact their airlines to know the status of their flight.
The C5 registered the fog bank in colonies, of the mayors Venustiano Carranza and Gustavo A. Madero, near the airport.
In the same account, he gave the name of the colonies affected by the mist: Mexican Thinker, Peñón de los Baños, Moctezuma Primera Section, Federal, Cuatroboles, Adolfo López Mateos, Cuchilla Pantitlán, Arenal Primera Section and Caracol of the mayor of Venustiano Carranza.
The San Juan de Aragón colony was also affected, which is located in the Gustavo A. Madero political demarcation.
