Citizens march against the ammonia plant in Topolobampo

Around 4000 people marched from the Cultural Center of the port to the entrance of the facilities where the ammonia plant is intended to be built

Los Mochis, Sinaloa .- Villagers from different communities of Ahome including Paredones, Lázaro Cárdenas, Ohuira, Topolobampo, to name a few, demonstrated through a march against the fertilizer plant.

People marched from the Cultural Center of the port to the entrance of the facilities where it is intended to build the ammonia plant, where they made a symbolic take of these.

The march was led by the collective Aqui No and the federal deputies of Morena, Iván Ayala, and Lucinda Sandoval, as well as the coordinator of this party in Ahome, José Borunda.

It was about three kilometers that the protesters marched peacefully until they reached the place where the administrative offices of the ammonia plant project are located.

They’re the leaders who led this demonstration issued their statement on the matter, where they said they will not back down against the plant. They also made it clear that they do not agree that a citizen consultation is needed.
