The cold front extends over the interior and southeast of the Mexican Republic, leaving winds and rains

Mexico.- This Friday, the No. 8 front will remain extended with stationary characteristics over the interior and southeast of the Mexican Republic and with cold characteristics over the south and east of the Gulf of Mexico.

The system will tend to interact with the tropical wave No. 48 that will travel the southeast of the country, while the polar air mass associated front will continue to affect north, northeast, east, central and southeastern parts of the country.

These conditions will give rise to a cold environment in a large part of the Republic, with possible frosts in high areas of the Mesa del Norte and the Mesa Central, as well as a “North” event with gusts greater than 80 km / h and waves of 3 to 5 meters on the southern coast of Veracruz, Isthmus and Gulf of Tehuantepec, and with gusts greater than 60 km / h on the coasts of Tamaulipas . As well as potential for very heavy to heavy rains in Veracruz, Oaxaca, Chiapas, Tabasco and Campeche, and heavy rains in Puebla and Yucatán

In turn, a “north” event is expected with gusts greater than 80 km / h and waves of 3 to 5 m on the central and southern coast of Veracruz, Isthmus and Gulf of Tehuantepec and with gusts greater than 60 km / h and waves of 1 to 2 m on the coast of Tamaulipas, Tabasco and Campeche. Likewise, it will increase the potential for heavy rains at torrential points in areas of Puebla, Veracruz, Oaxaca, Chiapas and Tabasco

On Sunday, November 3, the reinforced front No. 8 will be extended as stationary over southeastern Mexico and the Yucatan Peninsula, causing probability of heavy to very heavy rains over these regions, with heavy rains in Oaxaca and Tabasco and torrential points in Veracruz .

The associated cold air mass will modify its characteristics over the north and center of the country, allowing a gradual recovery of daytime temperatures over these regions, while in the northeast and east of the country, the cold to fresh environment will continue with possible frosts in areas High in these regions.
