Escuinapa “Pink Walk” against breast cancer

The Lions club Escuinapa “La Perla” invite you to participate in this event “pink”, where they will give 12 mammograms

Escuinapa, Sinaloa.- As part of an awareness campaign for the timely detection of breast cancer, the women of the Lions Club Escuinapa “La Perla”, invite to participate in the first “Pink Walk”.

Angélica Crespo Aguilar, member of this civil association, informed that the event will take place this Saturday, October 19, from 4 in the afternoon with the opening of the inscriptions, to start the walk around 5:30 of that same late.

The cost is only 30 pesos and includes the t-shirt of the event and a thermos with water to hydrate the participants, detailing that the tour includes the entire Malecon Siglo XXI, starting from the intersection with West Street, to Liberty Street, on the outskirts of the Escuinapa General Hospital.

Reyna Durán, another of the organizers, said that the objective of concentrating a great “pink wave”, which colors the Malecon XXI Century and demonstrates, to men and women, the importance of medical check-up for the timely detection of cancer in women.

For his part, Berna Quevedo, also a member of the Lions Club Escuinapa “La Perla”, said it is not a competition, but rather a way to get attention, explaining that 12 mammograms will be raffled at the end of the tour, regardless First or last places.

Prior to this march, the so-called “Damas Leonas”, launched an open invitation to a conference, for the general public, on self-exploration, given by Dr. Liliana Topete de Rizo, this Friday, October 18, at 10: 30 in the morning, in the auditorium of the Technological University of Escuinapa (UTESC).
