La Paz, Baja California Sur (BCS ). This week the arrival of the “Star Legend” boat was received at the Pichilingue port of the capital of Baja California Sur ; the ship arrived just over 200 cruise passengers, thus beginning the cruise season, said the Undersecretary of Tourism of the Ministry of Tourism, Economy and Sustainability (Setues), Fernando Ojeda Aguilar .
The time includes October 2019 to March 2020, which includes the arrival of 57 cruises to the ports of La Paz Loreto and Santa Rosalia.
On the other hand, the arrival of 231 vessels during 2019 is contemplated for Los Cabos, and only 100 cruise ships are scheduled to arrive in October, November, and December.
Ojeda Aguilar stressed that the entity will receive a new vessel, which is an attractive and valuable tourist product for the tourism segment so that efforts will continue to increase so that this trend continues to rise.
This boat is considered a luxury cruise, where most of its passengers are of high purchasing power, so it is expected that there will be an economic spill of half a million pesos.
In addition to La Paz, the Star Legend visited Los Cabos and for Wednesday will be in Loreto to continue its route to other national destinations, said the state official.
Finally, Ojeda Aguilar announced that the ship “Royal Princess” arrived at the magical town of Loreto, bringing 3,600 passengers; This speaks of a great boost and strengthening tourism in the destination.
