There is still private investment interest to build Mexico City Texcoco Airport (NAIM)

It is not one or two companies interested in the rescue of the most ambitious infrastructure project of the government of Enrique Peña Nieto, but of dozens, said the leader of Coparmex.

The private initiative maintains the interest of being able to intervene with investment to conclude the New Mexico International Airport (NAIM) that was being built in Texcoco and that the government of Andrés Manuel López Obrador canceled.

It is not one or two companies interested in the rescue of the most ambitious infrastructure project of the government of Enrique Peña Nieto, but of dozens of them and business organizations, said Gustavo de Hoyos Walter, president of the Employers’ Confederation of the Mexican Republic ( Coparmex ).

The employer leader is one of the drivers of the collective known as # NoMásDerroches headed by the Mexican agency Against Corruption that presented a series of Amparo’s seeks to stop the adaptation of the military airbase in Santa Lucia, in a commercial airport that operates together with that of Mexico City and that of Toluca.

The objective of this group is to avoid the “waste” of public resources in the integration of this project.

“Starting the project (from the Santa Lucia airport) is a waste of what is being developed, that an assessment be made with all the elements at its disposal so that as Andrés Manuel López Obrador promised to Coparmex   in March of 2018, the Texcoco project can be concluded with private investment, ”said the businessman during the celebration of the agency’s 90 years.

This Friday the 4th District Court in Administrative Matters whether or not to revoke the definitive suspensions granted against the construction of this airbase.
