The British presented their Legacy Of The Beast at the Palacio de Los Deportes, with a Mexican flag and even the charro hat.
The return of Iron Maiden to Mexico City caused deafening cheers, leaps, screams and, of course, the intonation that exploded in each of his classic songs, from more than 21,650 souls who wanted to “run to the hills” before the onslaught of one of the most powerful bands in the history of heavy metal.
The Palacio de Los Deportes was the stage where the group headed by Bruce Dickinson sang his greatest and most recognized songs, before the delirium of a whole legion of fans, who were also part of the Legacy Of The Beast world tour.
Prior to the start of the concert, hundreds of vendors bet outside the venue, where they offered cups, t-shirts, sweatshirts and all kinds of souvenirs, some with the figure of Eddie, icon of the British band.
Upon entering, long lines of desperate followers, who quickly sought their places. The passion was evident in their faces, they hoped that the constant riffs of Dave Murray, the unmistakable bass of Steve Harris and the unparalleled voice of Dickinson returned to shake the bowels of the enclosure.
This happened minutes after 9 pm when a sea of illuminated screens received the musicians, who immediately took over the stage and amazed everyone with a showy production that included a prop aircraft, screens, and robotic lights.

Band hits such as “Run To The Hills,” “Flight of Icarus,” “The Number Of The Beast,” “Hallowed Be Thy Name,” and “Sign Of The Cross and The Clansman,” kept everyone singing during the performance. which lasted for about two hours.
The vocalist paused to greet the audience and thank him for his delivery. ”Here we are in the first of three sold outs in Mexico City, thanks to all of you who are the best (…) so tonight is a damn celebration, a night of freedom, ”he commented before performing the song“ Freedom ”.
A Mexican flag was waved by Dickinson minutes before the stage was transformed into a Gothic chapel, before the euphoric screams of the fans.
Pyrotechnics and spectacular scenery were some details that surprised the audience in each song. Dickinson, Harris, Murray, Adrian Smith, Nicko McBrain and Janick Gers will have two more presentations in the same venue, today and tomorrow.
The bass player looked great, with his quirky pace and carrying the weight of the band on his shoulders.
