Minor from Zacatecas dragged by sea currents, on the Isla de la Piedra, was rescued by Mazatlan lifeguards

Mazatlan Sinaloa; September 12, 2019. A minor who was dragged by sea currents, on the Isla de la Piedra, was rescued this afternoon by lifeguards from the Mazatlan Municipal Public Security Secretariat.

This is Luis Manuel “N”, 17 years old, originally from the state of Zacatecas, who did not require medical attention.

The event was recorded around 3:30 pm on Thursday, in front of the Victor restaurant.

The young man, along with his family, came to enjoy the Mazatlan beaches but could not exit the ocean due to currents.

The aquatic agent, 2nd Police, Braulio Estrada Cortez, immediately threw himself into the sea and was able to rescue the tourist, who only showed fatigue and did not require medical attention, so he was handed over to his relatives.
