Mazatlan: The call for independence will be given from the Plazuela Republica Kiosk

From 6:30 in the afternoon of Sunday 15, the Plaza de La República de Mazatlan, will be the meeting place for the start of the “national holidays” and after 11 at night give the “Grito” of Independence, in the kiosk of the Republic Plazuela accompanying the mayor of Buenos Aires Luis Guillermo Benítez Torres.

There will be a whole musical artistic show and free Mexican snacks. The celebration will begin with the presentation of the La Mazatleca Band, followed by Los Osuna, Camerata de Mazatlán and then, after nine o’clock at night, the musical magazine “Mexico Lindo y Querido” will begin with several artists, including mariachis, singers, folklore and neoclassical dancers.

Around eleven o’clock at night, the flag ceremony and then the “scream”; Then the Mazatlan sky, in front of the Municipal Palace, will be illuminated with a pyrotechnic show and finally close with a flourish the presence of the Alicia Villarreal, who will sing a mosaic of very Mexican songs.

By Monday, 16, the civic-military stop will begin with the classic parade at eight in the morning from the Fisherman’s Monument and continue along the boardwalk to the Aquarium. The contingents, as always, will be nurtured by elements of the Mexican Army and the Mexican Navy, as well as students from some 12 schools.

The discovery will be led by a Transit Patrol and in the end, they will close dancing horses and charro groups, as well as emergency services such as the Red Cross, Firefighters, and Civil Protection. The temple of the local and state authorities will be at the Hotel La Hacienda.
