Eleazar Gamboa de la Parra, head of the Ministry of Tourism in the state, said he is ready to participate in the exercise of appearances that will take place before the Plenary Session of the State Congress, starting next week.

The Secretary of Tourism in Durango would have to appear before the plenary on September 18 at 5:00 p.m., in accordance with the calendar defined by the local Congress.

The state official considered that it is worthwhile to make known to the Plenary Session of the local Congress what has been done regarding tourism in the last year.

Through this democratic exercise, an opportunity is presented to inform citizens about the work that is being done in the State offices.

There is also total openness for legislators’ observations, as well as to set new challenges and goals.

He considered it appropriate that the deputies be proactively involved in the creation of plans and projects with which a greater benefit can be obtained from tourism.

“We are prepared since the Governor submitted his report and we have already been notified that on September 18 in the afternoon we will have to appear before the Plenary,” he said.

He stressed that there are achievements and pending projects that have not been made, but always looking for ways to obtain a benefit for Durango.

He mentioned that Durango is going for more expos and conventions, more movies and ecotourism because although it has advanced, it can grow even more.
