Mazatlan Sinaloa.- From October 14 to 18, and continuing with the celebrations of the 39th anniversary, Mazatlan Aquarium will hold the 33rd Encounter of Children of Northwest Mexico for the Conservation of the Sea Turtle.

One hundred children from 11 municipalities and 35 coastal communities, from the states of Baja California Sur, Sonora, Nayarit, and Sinaloa, will enjoy a week full of activities aimed at the care and conservation of the species.

Ángeles Cruz Morales, the coordinator of the Educational Department in Aquarius, said the main objective of carrying out an activity like this is to achieve a close link between human being and nature.

«The main objective is that children value the natural resources in their community, so that they develop a perception of conservation, care and love of their environment, their nature, without community there is no conservation».

Within the programmed activities, there are conferences, workshops, and visits to the El Verde Camacho turtle camp.
