Mazatlan, Sinaloa, August 25, 2019. Pesca Azteca under its banner of “Blue Flag for cleaner beaches” began its third day of beach cleaning 2019 that was carried out on the beach that is next to the Pueblo Bonito hotel in the Golden Zone and in which they managed to collect 220 Kg of garbage that was taken to a final disposal site authorized by the municipality where they ensure that they do not go to the sea.
The climate impact we are experiencing and the disastrous results it is having is imminent. Throughout the year we have seen news that talks about plastic inside the whales, turtles with straws stuck in the nose and the famous “mermaid tears” among others and the actions taken by companies, influencers, and celebrities to raise awareness and reduce environmental impact, and Pesca Azteca, a company of Grupo Pinsa is no exception.
This call was attended by the influencer and Mazatlan model Emilia Vizcarra, the queen of the carnival Karla Rivas, and the singer José Narváez who made a conscience call together with the company to take actions that help generate a positive change not only in Mazatlan but in the world.
In the same tenor, Pesca Azteca has donated garbage drums, lid containers and 2 bio-barriers 24 meters long that will serve to stop the garbage that pollutes about 17 colonies in the Estero de Los Jabalíes.
Small actions are what make the difference, so Pesca Azteca makes an invitation to all people to ” raise a blue flag ” not using straws or plastic bags and not throwing cigarette butts on the street or the beach, since these and other types of waste, such as cans or containers, end up decomposing and releasing toxic substances into the sea for long periods of time.
