Mazatlan, Sinaloa .- Drivers of surfing in Mazatlan will hold the first children’s tournament this Sunday, with the aim of promoting this practice that will be an official sport internationally, said Manuel Inzunza, coordinator of the first children’s tournament.
“It is the first Children’s Surf tournament that is done, and this is seeing in the future that surfing is going to be included in the Pan American games at the Japan Olympics, so we are going to start sowing the seed of children’s surfing so that someday you can take all these children to compete, ”he said.
The first tournament will take place at Pueblo Bonito beach in the sub 4 categories until the sub 12 in the women’s and men’s branch, which will start at 08:00 hours, and children may register at the offices of the Municipal Institute of the Sport, Imdem, and be affiliated with the Institute as an indispensable requirement, specifying if you are going to classes and the year of birth.
The tournament will be awarded at 12:00 noon.
The jury will rate the development of the participants in the evil; maneuvers, the stand of the child on the boards and the style of how to ride on the waves, so organizers guaranteed the safety of children in the area to be held the tournament because it is already verified as an area without risk and without depth.
