Mazatlan, Sininaloa.- The construction of 2 thousand 900 new rooms in the port of Mazatlan give an investment guarantee and commitment so that the destination in the future meets the demand of the tourist influx, said David González Torrentera.

The Secretary of Economic Development, Tourism, and Fisheries in Mazatlan said that this year several constructions of new lodging centers are in process, which marks an anchor to turn the destination into a development hub.

The municipal official stressed that this percentage of rooms will give a greater respite in the following holiday periods, as they are currently insufficient.

“Almost 25 percent additional to the offer we currently have, so they are generating a very good opportunity, and the area of ​​opportunity we have is to diversify the offer to have more options for our tourists.”

González Torrentera pointed out that finally Mazatlan occupies the consolidation of tourism infrastructure and that is what people want to invest in the destination, and the hotel industry is a fundamental key to this.
