Yesterday thundered a pipe that left thousands without water in the port; today it will be restored, as reported by the manager of Jumapam, Luis Gerardo Núñez Gutiérrez

Mazatlan, Sinaloa .- One of the three most important drinking water supply lines in the municipality collapsed yesterday afternoon and affected the supply in the northern zone, said Luis Gerardo Núñez Gutiérrez, production manager of the Municipal Board of Potable Water.

The official explained that it is a small break in the asbestos line, located at the height of the local prison, whose age is approximately 60 years, which is one of the main causes of the problem, combined with the warming of the land.

He warned that the water service was immediately suspended and will be restored at noon on Saturday.

“From this moment (yesterday) you work continuously, it doesn’t stop. We are not alarmed by any issue and we are already working on opening and taking out the water, and encapsulating. That these things happen is inevitable because we brought very good levels and everyone had water, so we have a drastic fall and we are doing everything we can to do it as quickly as possible, ”said the official.

The affected colonies are Flores Magón, Ejidal, Universo, Genaro Estrada, Villa Tutuli, Pradera Dorada, San Joaquín, Villa Verde, La Foresta, San Fernando, Loma Bonita, Los Magueyes, Higueras del Conchi and Valle Bonito. Also Las Mañanitas, La Campiña, Jaripillo, El Conchi, San Jorge, Alarcón, Valleys of the Ejido among others.
