Mazatlan, Sin. – “The cancellation by Interjet air carrier to Mazatlan, significantly affects the arrival of tourists during this summer vacation period”; Julio Birrueta Covarrubias said.
The director of the promotion office of the Association of Hotels and Tourism Companies of Mazatlan, said that in these two last days (July 30th and 31st) 360 passengers have stopped arriving at the destination through this airline.
Mazatlan has air connectivity with Mexico City through four airlines, Volaris, Vivaerobus and Interjet with one daily flight, and Aeromexico with three daily flights.
Interjet reported on Tuesday July 30th, the cancellation and delay of 11 flights scheduled to take off from Mexico City International Airport to destinations such as Cancun, Monterrey, Culiacán, Mazatlan and Guadalajara, which afffected more than three thousand passengers.
In a statement, the company said that some of its passengers have been affected by this situation, to whom they offer alternatives in order to reach their destination on the next available flight, and gives them a courtesy ticket to any national or international destination of their network.
