MAZATLÁN.- The Municipal Civil Protection System reported that during the rains that occurred in the city, no injured or deceased persons were registered, however, rescue and assistance actions were carried out on vehicles and people during the precipitation.

Eloy Ruiz Gastélum, head of the organization, said rains of up to 67.7 millimeters were recorded in the northern zone, in the central zone, 28.2 millimeters, and in the southern zone of 39.4 millimeters.

He added that in the northern part of the city there were flooding in the avenues La Marina, José Canseco, Bicentenario, Óscar Pérez Escobosa, Camarón Sábalo, Playas Gaviotas, Sábalo Cerritos, and streets of El Toreo, Sánchez Celis, Francisco Villa, El Dorado , Sábalo Country, El Cid, Gaviotas and Marina Mazatlán, Jacarandas, La Joya and Los Olivos among others.

It should be noted, the report added, that some homes in the aforementioned colonies suffered floods, ranging from 10 centimeters to about 1.10 meters, in the worst case.

The official mentioned that rescue and relief support was also provided in this area of ​​the city, due to heavy rains; All actions were carried out in coordination with the Ministry of Public Safety and Municipal Traffic, Fire, Municipal and State Civil Protection and voluntary groups.

Among these are the rescue of two minors from inside a vehicle on Luis Castro Street in the El Toreo subdivision, which were handed over to their families.

During the surveillance tours of the various streets of the city, around 300 people were located on public roads, which due to the problems of flooding of roads, were transferred in Civil Protection units to their homes, hotels or places nearby.

Ruiz Gastélum reported that Avenida Camarón Sábalo closed in the section between the El Moro and Posada Mision hotels, due to the increase in water mainly in the Conapesca building area.

He announced that there were no affectations in the rural area.
