WHAT IS THE PACIFIC ALLIANCE?

The Pacific Alliance is a trade bloc created in 2011 by Colombia, Chile, Mexico, and Peru to increase its trade, especially with the large Asian market. Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador did not attend the meeting, who, according to the Peruvian Foreign Ministry, fulfills an electoral promise not to be absent from his country during his first year in office. In his replacement came the foreign minister of that country, Marcelo Ebrard.
