Roberto Rodríguez Lizárraga, director of the Municipal DIF System, reported that the staff under his charge works in coordination with Municipal Civil Protection and the Municipal Public Security Secretariat through their coordination of the Special Unit for the Prevention of Family and Gender Violence (Uneprevif), who can also receive reports of people exploited, abandoned by others, or in this case of children working on public roads.

The municipal official urges citizens to report cases of abuse or labor exploitation of minors and even adolescents or older adults.

People can call us when they see a child working, they can dial 669-983 25 64, which is the telephone number of the juvenile defense attorney’s office. Which is available 24 hours a day.

Regarding the crime in the Santa Teresa subdivision, where the victim was a minor, he assured that the case was attended to and given attention for funeral expenses, they were helped anyway and provided with the necessary psychological support.
