Thunderstorms and strong winds could appear in the next few hours indicated the head of Civil Protection

For the next hours of this Saturday heavy rains are expected for most of Sinaloa with electric shocks and gusts of wind, as confirmed by Francisco Vega Meza, head of state Civil Protection.

He said there is already a rainfall report in Culiacán, Mocorito, Cosalá, Badiraguato and Mazatlán.

“We bring forecast for this afternoon for a large part of Sinaloa, mainly in the mountain municipalities and that is what we are monitoring,” he said.

He said that floods have not been reported so far.

As a recommendation Civil Protection asks the population to be aware of the forecast offered by Conagua and Civil Protection on its website.

Also, if you are moving, it is recommended not to take risks and protect yourself, avoid crossing rivers and streams, and do not stay in open spaces if there is an electrical storm.
