Escuinapa, Sinaloa .- The Teacapán airport is already finished, said Emmett Soto Grave, municipal president, detailing that it has a landing strip of 2 thousand meters, which is already in service of the National Navy.

“The Teacapán airport is already finished, there are 2 thousand meters of airstrip, they are 2 kilometers that are in perfect conditions, they can land planes on a small scale, with 50-60 passengers,” he said.

The mayor said that the news was received by Eduardo Redondo Aramburo, undersecretary of the Navy, who was in the municipality last Sunday, making a tour in the small port of Teacapán, without providing further details.

He stressed that there is still no fixed date to inaugurate the airport, he said, could be counting on the presence of Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, president of the Mexican Republic, but acknowledged that it is not at all safe.
