Sinaloa is an example nationwide in health infrastructure as it is the only state with three new hospitals under construction, the General Hospital of Mazatlan, the Sinaloa Pediatric Hospital and the General Hospital of Culiacán, stressed the Area Director of the General Directorate of Coordination with Federal Entities of the National Commission for Social Protection in Health, Jesús Enrique Velázquez Angulo.
During a tour with the director of Popular Insurance in Sinaloa, Rosa Elena Millán Bueno, for the construction of the new Urban Health Center of Culiacán, Pediatric Hospital, General Hospital and the expansion of the Women’s Hospital, the federal official stressed that the entity is of those that have been supported more in health investment, is an important reference for the northern area of the country.
“We believe that this investment will mark a watershed, at least in the northwest region and what we are looking for is that this state is an example and spearhead for the rest of the northern part of the country, I believe that important steps have been taken since the Government of the State and from the National Commission of Social Protection in Health, what we have to do is to support what is needed, “he said.
In this regard, Rosa Elena Millán Bueno considered that the new hospitals, Urban Health Center in the Sinaloa capital and extensions, all built with resources from Seguro Popular amounting to 3.2 million pesos, will come to give a new face to medical care in the entity.
He emphasized that the Governor has a very broad vision of the hospital infrastructure that Sinaloa needs, in addition to the near completion of the General Hospital of Mazatlan, leaving Quirino Ordaz Coppel with his administration a very large footprint in favor of the health and wellbeing of the Sinaloan families.
Currently, there are more than one million 070 thousand Sinaloans with Popular Insurance coverage, 100 thousand of them under 5 years old, which will be the main beneficiaries of these large works in health are being developed in the entity.
