Mazatlan, Sinaloa.- Before the announcement of the opening of around 60 new restaurants for this 2019 in the city, the president of the National Chamber of the Restaurant and Seasoned Food Industry (CANIRAC), Óscar Palacios Gómez, translated these investments into the generation of hundreds of new jobs.

“We are talking about 700, 750 new jobs more or less, plus indirect ones that double or triple that amount,” he explained.

However, the employer acknowledged that there is a high demand for personnel in these establishments and that sometimes labor is scarce.

“Many times we are fighting them, (workers) are changing places to others and that is an issue that concerns us,” he said.

Therefore, he said that in the Chamber of restaurants is emphasizing training, in providing better conditions for employees and in encouraging the population to be interested in this area of ​​work.

Palacios Gómez attributed that part of this staff is young and “sometimes that youth does not have as much stability, talking about time, in some jobs”.
