“The benefit of this alliance is a new scheme to promote sports tourism and promote the destination Mexico in the international concert,” said Torruco Marqués.

The Secretary of Tourism and Nascar Peak Mexico Series will promote the country in the international arena where this race takes place, in addition to which it is intended to take this serial to other cities of the national territory.

The collaboration agreement, signed by Miguel Torruco , head of the Sectur, and by Jimmy Morales, CEO of Nascar Peak Mexico Series, will allow the promotion of the “Mexico” brand, as well as the growth of the category.

“The benefit of this alliance is a new scheme to promote sports tourism and promote the destination Mexico in the international concert; through the large Nascar Peak broadcasting platform, Mexico will be promoted as a brand in the destinations where the event takes place, “said Torruco Marqués.

He made it clear that this agreement will not generate any cost for the government of Mexico and that it is a strategic alliance with which the development of the sports serial will be sought.

“I am going to invite the governors of the states that do not have this type of infrastructure to join with their employers and make this type of investment, road courses, and Nascar will be in the best position to expand it in this scheme in the country” , he added.

Thus, he invited leaders and the private sector to join the movement so that they can “implement this sport in all corners of the country where they still do not have the infrastructure to carry it out”.

In the press conference held on Tuesday to announce the agreement, which was also attended by David Chad Seigler, International Vice President of Commercial Development of Nascar, Morales said they are grateful to be taken into account for this important project.

On June 9 the Sectur participated in the Aguascalientes race, which will be repeated in the following eight dates of the 2019 season in seven cities: in Chihuahua, Querétaro, San Luis Potosí, Guadalajara, Aguascalientes, Mexico City and two in town.

The Mexico brand and the host destination of each race, through television broadcast, will be present in 17 countries in North, Central and South America, as well as Spain, which together represent 83% of the total number of tourists arriving in Mexico, commented Torruco Marqués.
