Mexico: Storms await in some states, but the heat remains strong in others

High temperatures will continue on Monday in most of the national territory, with temperatures above 45 degrees Celsius in regions of Baja California Sur, Sinaloa, and Sonora, the National Meteorological Service (SMN) reported.

The agency explained that values ​​of 40 to 45 degrees Celsius are expected in areas of Baja California Sur, Chihuahua, Coahuila, Nuevo Leon, Tamaulipas, Nayarit, Jalisco, Michoacan, Guerrero, Campeche, and Yucatan, reports the agency Notimex.

As well as from 35 to 40 degrees Celsius in sites of San Luis Potosi, Colima, Chiapas, Veracruz, Morelos, Oaxaca, Tabasco and Quintana Roo.

On the other hand, strong point storms are forecast in Oaxaca, and strong local storms in Jalisco, Michoacán, Guerrero, Puebla and Chiapas.

As well as intervals of showers in San Luis Potosi, Zacatecas, Durango, Nayarit, Colima, State of Mexico, Morelos, Tlaxcala, Veracruz, Tabasco and Campeche.

As well as isolated rains in Coahuila, Nuevo Leon, Tamaulipas, Sinaloa, Aguascalientes, Guanajuato, Querétaro, Hidalgo, Mexico City and Quintana Roo.

The rains could be with electrical activity, gusts of wind and possible hail.

The SMN added that a new tropical wave will continue its displacement over the western Caribbean Sea and will gradually approach the southern coast of Quintana Roo.

Likewise, strong winds are forecast with gusts exceeding 60 kilometers per hour (km / h) for Sonora and with possible dust collectors in Coahuila, Nuevo León and Tamaulipas.

And gusts of wind superior to 40 km / h in the Peninsula of Baja California, the Sea of ​​Cortés, Chihuahua, Durango, Zacatecas, San Luis Potosí, Campeche, Yucatan, and Quintana Roo.
