To celebrate Father’s Day, the Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS) is performing free vasectomies without scalpel for all men, even those who are not entitled

Vasectomy is a permanent contraceptive method that consists of a small surgery in which the doctor performs a puncture on the skin of the scrotal bag above where the testicles are, to cut the vas deferens through which the sperm pass.

This type of procedure is 99 percent effective, hospitalization is not required, local anesthesia is used and recovery is very fast

It should be mentioned that said surgery does not generate sexual impotence , does not reduce the amount of semen production or decrease the libido.

Vasectomies will be performed in the Family Medicine Units of the IMSS 4, 8, 9, 10, 12, 15, 18, 28, 31, 42, 43, 45, 46, 140 and 160 of Mexico City, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
