Mazatlan, Sinaloa.- In compliance with the regulations of the Mexican Institute for Standardization and Certification, the operator and administrator of Beaches of Mazatlan began with the installation of signage and furniture to maintain the status of Seagulls as ‘Clean Beach’.

Rogelio Olivas Osuna explained that the purpose is that local citizens and visitors begin to become aware of the separation of waste in organic, inorganic and plastic, as well as avoid taking their pets to the beach area or to collect stools. .

“We already started with the signage also, to inform you that Playa Gaviotas is a certified beach, which complies with the norms and standards of a Mexican norm that is very strong, the truth is that it is a little stricter than what is the Blue Flag and we are also doing environmental education jobs in schools. “

Olivas Osuna said that within the actions for the conservation of recognition is to integrate the hotel sector by delivering badges that give them a plus to be located on a clean beach, for which seven hotels were already distinguished by their participation and actions in favor the conservation of the bay.

He added that this week began with the installation of 2 of the 20 containers that are estimated to be placed on all beaches in Mazatlan, whether or not they belong to the margins that are recognized by the Mexican Institute for Standardization and Certification.
