The V National Forum of Sinaloa Cultural Heritage 2019 will be held June 12th and 13th

On June 12 and 13, the V National Forum of Sinaloa Cultural Heritage 2019 will take place in Mazatlán, Sinaloa, with the theme “The archives, heritage and memory of the Nation”, organized by the Government of the State of Sinaloa, through the Sinaloa Institute of Culture.

It will be inaugurated at 11:00 am on Wednesday 12, at the “Ángela Peralta” Theater, by Beatriz Gutiérrez Müller, president of the Honorary Advisory Board of the National Coordination of Historical and Cultural Memory of Mexico; Quirino Ordaz Coppel, Constitutional Governor of the State of Sinaloa; Rosy Fuentes de Ordaz, director of the state DIF System; Luis Guillermo Benítez Torres, President of Mazatlán, and Deputy Graciela Domínguez Nava, President of the Sinaloa State Congress, who will present the content of the Archives Conservation Initiative, which is in its second reading that is about to be approved in this Legislative Period , is reported in a newsletter.

The purpose is to reflect on the relationship between archives, history and memory, and at the same time to discuss the impact of archives on historical-literary production. The archive, as a witness of the past times and the privileged precinct of memory, is the repository of the identity of a community.

After the opening, Liliana Plascencia Sánchez, Director of Heritage, Museums and Research of the ISIC, will present a diagnosis on the municipal archives and the documentary heritage of Sinaloa.

At 5:00 p.m., the first working table will be held, with the theme Archive, heritage and conservation, with the presentations The documentary heritage in light of the General Law of Archives, by Ramón Aguilera Murguía, of the Mexican School of Archives ; Among papers, the conservation and the patrimonial rescue, by Elvia Carreño Velázquez, of the Institute of Philological Investigations of the UNAM, and the historians and their intervention in the rescue of historical municipal archives of Sinaloa, by Félix Brito Rodríguez, of the Faculty of History of the UAS.

On Thursday, the 13th, at 11:00 a.m., work will resume with Table 2, whose theme is Archive, History and Memory, in which the following papers will be released: Archives, historiography and cultural memory: some reflections, by Guillermo Zermeño Padilla, of El Colegio de México; Memory in the 21st century ?, by María Isabel Monroy Castillo, from El Colegio de San Luis, Think about the archive. From inside and outside, by Martha Rodríguez García, from the Archive for the Memory, of the Universidad Iberoamericana.

Table 3, on Archives, Literature and Literary Research, will begin at 4:30 p.m. with the presentations The Historical Memory, Opportunity for Literature, by the writer Agustín Ramos, and The Archive of the Inquisition and Vicente’s novels Riva Palacio, by José Ortiz Monasterio, of the Dr. José María Luis Mora Research Institute.

At 6:00 pm the Reading of Letters will take place. If it does not have to be mine, I prefer death better, with fragments of romantic love, centuries XIX to XXI, with the participation of Martha Rodríguez García, Guadalupe Hernández and Mirna Vásquez Galindo ( Saltillo), after which the event will be closed.
