Mazatlan, Sinaloa.- Despite the increases in products of the basic food basket, prices on restaurant meals in Mazatlan have maintained low thanks to the fact that the port is committed to buying volume and not just seasonally, assured the president of the Young entrepreneurs of Canirac Nacional, Ricardo Velarde Cárdenas.

This situation has Mazatlan well positioned at the national level as a tourist destination in terms of low prices since the municipality currently manages cheaper prices than destinations such as Los Cabos, Puerto Vallarta, and Acapulco said the businessman.

“We are betting on the volume, if we continue betting on the temporalities as in other years would be impossible because we were losing money to maintain the prices we have. Now, thanks to the volume, since all year round we have convention tourism, cart, we bet on volume and we do not have to raise prices, “hesaid.

“If we compare the prices we give with Los Cabos, Acapulco, Vallarta, we are half the price of what they give there,” he added.

However, Ricardo Velarde Cárdenas acknowledged that they have beaten the increases, but thanks to the sales have been good, it has been able to cope.

“Yes it has stuck a point or two in the cost, but we have also increased sales by 10 or 15 percent. You sacrifice some things for others, until now. Prices in most things remain, “he said.
