Graduating ceremony held in Mazatlan for the training and updating of General Tourist Guides.

Yesterday morning graduation ceremony was held for new guides, training, and updating of general tourist guides.

This, in order to provide the best tourist service for next holiday period as the statistics of the hotels, indicates a full house and the arrival of thousands of tourists is expected.

Ivan Pico Gutierrez, Coordinator of Municipal Tourism indicated that the arrival of more cruises to the Mazatlan is expected.

” This year we have a calendar of 140 cruises but they have been adding more and we believe that we will reach 142 cruises ” informed the coordinator.

Other cruise ships have also been added to the calendar that, although they are not official, would benefit the port because they are expected to leave good economic benefits.

During the ceremony, 29 students received their diploma in the hands of Melesio Omar Quintero, Dir. Of the Association of Tour Guides, Drivers, Guides and Similar ” Rafael Buelna ” and Martín Vallejo Ramirez, Pdte. of the Association of Guides of Drivers and Providers of Tourist Services ” Adolfo López Mateos ” who were grateful to train tourist guides worthy of representing Mexico.
